Title: Life Starts Over

Timeline: After "The Body" and "Forever" (BtVS) and before "Ephiany" (Angel).
Summary: Buffy goes to L.A. to see the L.A. crew. It's before Ephiany. Angel is still himself. He hasn't slepted with Darla. No Glory or Ben! No Dawn (sorry to the people who love Dawn. She just doesn't fit this story). And No Spike and Buffy. But also No Angel and Cordelia.
Rated: PG-13 to R. or NC-17. I will tell you when it's above PG-13.

Part One
(L.A.) Buffy walked off the bus. She didn't know where she was going. She knew she had to get away from Sunnydale. She walked towards the new Angel Investigators. She opened the door to the building and walked in it. Cordelia saw her walk in and she gave Buffy a sad smiled. Cordelia got up from her chair and went in front of where Buffy stood. They hugged for a minute. And then they broke off.
"I am so sorry Buffy about your mom." Cordelia said to her.
"Thanks I guess." Buffy said.
"What are you going to do now?" Cordelia asked her.
"I'm going to be staying in L.A. I can't....won't make it in Sunnydale." Buffy said to her.
"Are you going to be okay?" Cordelia asked.
"I don't know Cordy. I just don't know." Buffy said to her.
"I'm sorry." Cordelia said to her.
"That's ok. I'm going to be alright. I hope." Buffy said.
"Your going to be alright Buffy. I know you." Cordelia said to her.
"Thanks." Buffy said.
"Sure" Cordelia said to her.
"I'm going to go and look for a job now." Buffy said.
"You could get a job here. We need help here anyway. We also need more muscle around here since Angel fired us. You could work with us." Cordelia told her.
"Are you sure your ok with me working with you?" Buffy asked her.
"I could ask Gunn and Wes if you want." Cordelia said.
"Yeah, It'll make me feel a lot better." Buffy said.
"I'll go call them. You just stay here Buffy." Cordelia said.
"Ok. Cordelia?" Buffy asked.
"Yeah." Cordelia said to her.
"Thank you very much." Buffy said to her with a smiling. Cordelia gave her a nob.
Buffy looked around the small area were she a few pictures of Cordelia, Doyle, and Angel then of Cordelia, Wesley, Gunn, and Angel. But one stood out from all the rest was of herself, Willow, Xander, Giles, and Cordelia. She smiled at the memory of the day when it was taken.

"Come on all together now." Joyce said to all of them.
"Mom. Do we really have too?" Buffy asked her mother.
"Yes, You do." Joyce said smiling at her daughter.
"Ok Mom. Here we go guys let's do it." Buffy said to her friends.

Buffy didn't notice the tear roll down her cheek.

Part 2-
Cordelia saw the tear roll down her friend's cheek.
"Buffy?" Cordelia said.
"What? Oh Cordelia. I'm sorry. I was just looking at these pictures. I must have daydreamed or something. I'm sorry about that." Buffy said.
"That's alright. The guys are coming here to see you." Cordelia said to her.
Cordelia went to Buffy. Buffy went back to looking of the pictures of her and her friends.
"You remember that day Joyce told us to take that picture." Cordelia. Buffy looked down then looked up again at the picture agian then nod at Cordelia.
Just then Wesley and Gunn walked in. Wesley looked at Buffy then smiled at her sadly.
"Hi Wes." Buffy said sadly.
"Hello Buffy. Nice to see you. I'm very sorry about your mother. She was a very special women to all of us. And I hope she's in a wonderful place. I'm very deeply sorry for your loss." Wesley said to her.
"Thank you.um.Wes." Buffy said to him.
"Hi. I'm Gunn. You must be Buffy. Your very famous around here. I heard a lot about you a couple times on the streets and everything." Gunn said.
"Oh. I didn't know that people knew who I was. Me being the slayer. I didn't know people knew what I am or who I am." Buffy said to him.
"I'm sorry. I swear I didn't know that much about the slayer but knowing you I have to say your a very hot slayer that I ever have seen." Gunn said joking around with her.
"Thanks. I think." Buffy said.
Cordelia started to have a vistion.
"Cordy. What's going on? Are you ok?" Buffy asked.
"She's having a viston." Wesley said.
"Just like Doyle used to have." Buffy said.
"Yes." Wesley said.
"Oh." Buffy said.
"We need to go to the Host. We have to talk to him." Cordelia said.
"What's the Host?" Buffy asked.
"He's another per..demon.well thingy that also works for the Powers that Be." Cordelia said.
"Oh. Ok." Buffy said.
They left to go see the Host. When they walked into the bar they saw the Host talking to Angel. The Host looked at Buffy. And started walking towards them.
"Well. Well. Well. Here's the Slayer. We finally have someone that's a legand around these parts. What are you doing here and not the hellmonth?" the Host asked Buffy.
"Umm. I'm taking a very paid vacation. Only not. See I moved here and we don't need to talk why I've moved." Buffy said because Angel coldly said to her, "Why don't you just leave Buffy. The reason your here doesn't matter because you don't matter to me." She looked in his eyes and got up and left the others standing there.
"See that's why she shouldn't be here. She should just go home with her little friends and her family there." Angel said.
"What family? She doesn't have any family there." Cordelia said.
"Her mom." Angel said to her.
"Her mom died a couple days ago. She left because she had to many memories of her mom and what used to be her life." Cordelia said.

Part 3
"I didn't know that." Angel said was about to say but Cordelia cut him off again.
"So you didn't know that doesn't mean that you should be coldly or anything to her or anyone." Cordelia said. Angel looked at her and got up and walked away.
(Meanwhile) Buffy was walking to the graveyard. She saw her mom's gravestone just laying there waiting for her. She kneed down to sit down by the stone. She pulled out a single purple rose and laid the rose down by her mom's name that was engraved in the stone.
"Hi mom. I don't know what to do. Part of me wants to be left alone. The other part of me just doesn't know. I know what I want is to wake up and all of this be a dream. And your there waiting for me." she paused. "I miss you so much Mom. And I don't know if I can go on with my life without you in it. I wish so much that you were here for me." she paused yet again. "I love you Mom. You were the only thing that was left for me when both Riley and Angel left me. You were there for me. And now i can bearly have anything to hold on too. Because I know that everyone will just leave me behind. And I don't know what to do anymore. But I do know that I'll be ok. I hope. I really do hope. I think that's all I have left is my hope. And I'm going to use every drop so I can be alright because you would want me not to give up. So I'm not going to give up just yet. I miss you so much mom. And nothing or no one is going to replace you in my heart. No one. I promise." Buffy said with tears rolling down her cheeks. She then wrap her arms around herself. Angel saw her like this. She started to get up. She wiped her tears away. "Goodbye Mom." Buffy said. Then she left and Angel watched her go. He then followed her. Buffy walked to the nearest bus stop and waited for a bus to come. When the bus came she waited till the bus driver open the bus doors and she got to the bus. And she sat down in a sit near the back. The driver started to drive the bus to the next stop. The bus turned some corners of L.A. Streets then the bus stopped again and the bus was in front of a large apartment area where Buffy lived. Buffy got off the bus and went to one of the large apartments. She opened the glass doors with her key and went to the elevator and push one of the bottoms telling the machine where she wanted to go up. When it got to the right floor. Buffy watched the doors of the elevator open and she walked to a door that read 8J. She used her key and unlocked the door and went in. She shut the door behind her.
